Charlie is being returned to us for rehoming due to a major change in their life circumstances. He is delightful, loves being outside, never aggressive or grumpy--in short a perfect dog. DNA says he is 100% Llewellyn Setter and his mom says that he is also 100% pure love.

Here is what else his mom told us about him:

Charlie is very good on the leash, in fact he is never outside without a leash. He is used to walking in parks with trails. He is a joy to walk. He allows people to pet him, but he doesn’t reach out for it. He is proud of himself when outside & hunting/pointing (on leash). He’s very smart and trainable, and knows “Wait” when he finds something to point at.

While Charlie is good with other dogs, he does not have a rough & tumble play-type. Instead, he is more reserved with them. He has lived with other dogs and done very well. Charlie is great with people of all ages: young to old. He has been around young grandchildren - ages 6 mos to 3 years and does well with older kids and young adults, too. He is even friendly with new people like contractors that come into the house. Charlie doesn’t bark unless something needs your attention.

While he is crate trained, no crate is needed and he gets the run of the house since he is perfect with housetraining. He has been eating a Lamb & Rice kibble and uses a raised feeder. He is allergic to chicken. He sleeps in a dog bed, but recently has been happy to join his mom in bed when invited.

If you think Charlie would be a good fit for your family, please put in an application.
