A Better English Setter Rescue

If you are looking for a loyal, gentle, sweet-tempered, stunningly beautiful English Setter, Opal is your girl! She’s 8 years old (although she acts like she’s about 3) and a breeder release from Ohio. She’s a tiny thing at 33 lbs, but I do think she could stand to gain some weight. She has a wonderful, gentle temperament, and I don’t think you’ll find a better-looking dog!

Opal bonds quickly and wants nothing more than to snuggle next to you. She’s eager to please. We are working on teaching her commands--–she loves praise. When we're home, Opal gets anxious if she can't be in the same room or space with us, but she is getting better with that. When we are gone, she does fine! She’ll thrive with a consistent routine and patience from her family. She’s very gentle with my resident dogs (who are smaller than she is), but she does not really seek out their company, so she’d be happy as an only dog also. She loves people of all ages and does great with kids! I have a teen and a tween, and lots of neighborhood kids and nieces and nephews have met her, and she’s gentle and loving to all of them.
