Remington is a truly good boy and has a heart and body full of love and joy. He delights in playing with his foster siblings in the yard and would love to have a buddy or two to play with in his permanent home. Remi gets along with all dogs from older sedate dogs to younger playful dogs. He really likes another dog as a companion and loves to run and play in the yard if the other dog is up for it.

Remi is a busy boy that thrives with a job. He is extremely clever and does best with an outlet for his energy. He would be a good jogging, biking, or hiking partner. Because of his bright mind, he takes well to obedience training. Activities he might love include agility, fly-ball, nose work, active field training, or anything that uses his brain and body. Remi is quite birdy. He might enjoy hunting, but we don’t know if he is gun shy. He is alert as soon as he enters the yard, checking the wind and watching for critters to move. Remi currently has a 4 foot fence that he respects, and anyone who adopts him must also have a fenced yard.

He is a very friendly boy, and is a good snuggler. Remington doesn’t actually play with toys, but he loves to cuddle with stuffies in his crate. In his foster home, Remi is uncrated except at night and when no one is home. Although we haven’t tested it, he would likely be fine uncrated at night, too.

He is very engaged with his people. While he is not velcro, he will stay close or check in often when out. He is protective at home, and will bark an alert if someone he doesn’t know comes too close.

When Remi arrived, he was a ‘diamond in the rough’ with a lot of puppy brain. He did not know any commands, but he has made quite a bit of progress while here. He has not counter surfed, and he has learned to leave the cat kibble after a clear ‘Leave it!’ command. Remi has become an outstanding family member.
