This guy has enough personality for 4 dogs. We call him "Mr. Roger" because he is such a gentleman. We also call him "Roger (the artful) Dodger" because he is such a scamp. Roger is very people-focused and wants to be right there when you are doing something.  He will go up to people he meets to give them the opportunity to pet him. Everyone who meets him is charmed. He LOVES tummy rubs. He is a talker, too, and will let you know what he is thinking.  The. Tail. Never. Stops. He minds well. He is crate trained and goes in easily. I leave the crate door open when not used, and he often sleeps inside. Roger is not leash trained - that will be a project!

Roger is very smart. After he slipped out of the gate once, I refused ever to open the gate if he were anywhere near it. He quickly learned to run 15-20 feet back whenever I wanted to open the gate.

Roger is a very handsome guy. He is rather compact and stands about knee-high, and weighs in at just under 50 pounds. The vet says that he is a good weight. His coat is long and super thick. His teeth are in great shape, except for one that has some tartar. Roger was born on April 26, 2015, and is currently 8 years and 1 month.

This handsome guy was neutered a number of years ago. His shots are UTD, and he is generally in very good health. Roger does have one health issue - he has arthritis in his hips as well as both front paws. We are managing it with Carprofren twice a day, as well as joint supplements and a special diet.  His gait is affected, although that's most obvious when he first gets up. Roger doesn't let the arthritis slow him down, though. He is incredibly active. He roams around outside for hours, and I see him trotting around all the time. He runs when the spirit moves him and can turn up the jets for short sprints. He can get in the car from the side door most easily. He goes into life at full throttle!

Roger is a very special guy. He has so much personality he just fills the room. He will make someone a wonderful buddy.
