Meet Ben!

 

Ben is a sweet, easygoing young setter who has quickly become a favorite in his foster home. He loves people, dogs, toys, and most of all, being wherever his people are. He is a true velcro dog and will happily follow you around the house or keep you company in the yard. He especially enjoys hanging out while his foster mom gardens.

 

Ben would do best with a family that can spend plenty of time with him. He loves to snuggle and will happily curl up beside you or climb into your lap for some quiet time. He is also wonderful with other dogs and would be happiest in a home that includes a doggie sibling or two.

 

He is a wonderful walking companion and walks beautifully on a leash without pulling. He also has excellent recall and has quickly learned the boundaries of his foster home's wireless fence. In fact, his recall is amazing! - always checking in and keeping an eye on us. Outside, he enjoys watching birds and wildlife and occasionally shows off his beautiful Setter point.

 

Ben is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He has learned Sit and is working on Down, and he has made great progress with his kennel training. He settles easily in his kennel at night and is learning that his daytime kennel is a safe and comfortable place, too.

 

As a not-quite two year old Setter, Ben has an unexpectedly laid-back personality. He still has plenty of puppy fun in him and absolutely loves his toys, but he is also happy to settle down and enjoy time with his people.

 

Ben is going to make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loving, affectionate Setter who wants to be part of everything they do. We think his forever family is going to feel very lucky to have him!
