Birch is looking for his forever home! He loves to play with other dogs. He is excited to go on adventures and walks and rides in the car, and loves to spend as much time outside as he can. While he loves to wrestle with his brother River, he is not quite as bold as his brother, who is in the same foster home. Like his brother, he’s an active boy, but if he’s not moving, he wants to be close to you. Birch is energetic and outgoing and loves to snuggle. He also enjoys the children that come to his foster home. He is a very loving puppy.

He’s smart and quick to learn new things. Potty training is coming along quickly. His other training is also underway, and has been a breeze. His foster mom has been working on Sit for meals, and also on Stay. But he is a wiggly boy and Stay is always a challenge! Birch loves being crated, and will go in to nap when it is open.

When he is not doing his rounds in the yard, Birch loves to cuddle and will be a Velcro dog. However, he has good manners, and has not been permitted on the couch yet, in case it’s not allowed in his new home. Birch responds to his name, and sits for his food. He is very food motivated!! You can find him playing, sunbathing, and napping - in any order.

Surprisingly, Birch is anxious to start leash-walking! This would be a great opportunity for an adopter to bond to him! Birch, like his brother, does well with calm positive reinforcement training.

Birch is a smart and loving boy who is hoping to be your new best friend. If you think that Birch might be the boy for you, please put in an application.
