A Better English Setter Rescue

Evelyn is a six-year-old spunky girl who loves people. In fact, she is a real people pleaser, and will do almost anything to win your attention and your approval!

 

She is crate trained but prefers to be out in the house when you are home with her. She is very energetic, and she appreciates having something fun to do. She can spend hours chewing on a bone, or solving a treat puzzle but doesn’t show much interest in other toys.

 

The fun doesn’t stop at the back door, though. Evelyn is a curious girl and loves to run outside in the yard, investigating every new smell. For her new home, she is requesting a fenced yard where she can run freely and follow her nose. Those squirrels are soooo interesting!

 

While Evelyn is generally uninterested in her foster brother (another Setter), she does best with a slow introduction to new dogs. She would be perfectly happy to be an only dog and have ALL the attention, love, and – you guessed it – treats!  

 

Evelyn enjoys car rides and is delighted to go anywhere with you – even to the vet! She is a favorite at the vet clinic getting lots of extra loves and doting from all the staff when we are there. 

 

She likes her food and is quick to “woo” to remind you when it’s dinner time. 

 

Evelyn has started working on some basic commands: ‘sit’, ‘wait’, and also ‘off’ for not jumping up on people.  She is a smart girl. With patience (and treats), she is a quick learner.

 

The key to Evelyn’s heart is lots of attention and treats…many, many treats! She is looking for an active home where she can have lots of attention – and did we mention treats??
