A Better English Setter Rescue

Have you watched a video of a dog enjoying a spa treatment? The dog is laying on its back, totally relaxed and likely sleeping as her hooman rubs cream on her paw pads, puts cucumber slices covering her eyes, and a soft bristle steam brush gently massages her head? Then you just met Nellie!

This young affectionate Setter will be the star in your family. Nellie melts when she receives affection, her eyes begin closing within a minute, then she lays at your feet totally transfixed by your attention. Nellie is comfortable laying next to you on the sofa, or across the room in her crate. She is always ready for her meals and won’t leave a morsel behind. She enjoys riding in the car, and is your best co-pilot - relaxed, quiet, and never asking, “Are we there yet?” At bedtime she enjoys a treat, along with kisses and petting.

Nellie is an active youngster who gets along well with other dogs. She  enjoys walks and she walks well on a leash. She is curious about the world, and is learning to enjoy meeting new people. She and her foster mom enjoy socializing with friends on their adventures. Unfortunately, she believes cats are for chasing. Speaking of chasing, she will race after a ball, but won’t always return it to you! She also likes toys that she can chew on. Nellie is learning basic commands – she understands Sit, Come, and Off - but is working on harnessing her abundant puppy energy to Stay.
