Pearl's story begins as a stray found in rural Georgia in mid 2022. The finder fed her but wasn't interested in adopting her. At some point, she became pregnant by one of his dogs. He placed her puppies but decided it was time to find a better situation for her and reached out to rescue. Now Pearl is in an experienced foster home and getting ready for the next part of her journey to a fur-ever home.
She loves to play with other dogs, and rearrange furniture (she drags the numerous dog beds around in her foster's home - always fun and funny to watch I think!). She has a high energy level and needs to be kept engaged in mental and physical stimulation. She is always in a good mood. She loves and craves attention. She is crate-trained but not a big fan of the crate, so needs a lot of encouragement (& maybe treats?!) to go in, but is fine once she's in there.
Pearl is a young, active setter who craves the attention of her humans. She also has a high prey drive so no cats would be best. She may have hunted, but we don't know for sure!
