Wilma is an extraordinary girl. She was found with her sister Betty as a stray in Georgia and ended up in a high-kill shelter. These girls wrapped their paws around the staff, were very loving, and would get excited when people stopped to pet and give them attention. They both left the shelter and are loving the indoor life with their foster.

Wilma is a love bug, who wants to be as close to her human as possible, and her favorite spot is curled up by your feet or beside you on the sofa. When she is awake, she is very sweet and loves to give kisses. I have never seen a dog more excited and happy to see me. When I come home, no matter how long I have been gone, her whole body wiggles; she barks with excitement and is beside herself. I open the door to let her out, and she jumps off the steps and turns around as if to say I am so happy you are home. She would certainly enjoy being someone's home office Buddy. She does experience some separation anxiety, but that is being controlled with medication and CBD supplements.

This beautiful girl does have a lot of energy and likes to keep busy. She has been working on her leash walking and doing a great job! Wilma really enjoys being active and would make a great hiking or running partner.  She doesn't slow down!

She is now house-trained and would love a home where she can continue to learn more dog training skills.

If you are looking for a loving, fun, intelligent, energetic dog, Wilma may be your girl! Wilma is excited to meet her forever family and fill their home with love.
